Karen Cox, the owner and Broker of Record of Sea & Ski Realty Ltd., said the day exceeded her expectations and is ecstatic that Sea &Ski Realty Ltd. can support our local hospital.

“Our goal was to exceed last year’s donation  of $23,000 and we raised over $28,000,” she says.  “If we want a community hospital we all need to support it and we figured we could do our part by running this Annual Golf Tournament.”

The Centre Grey Health Services Foundation helps numerous people throughout the area providing services such as 24-hour emergency care, acute hospital care, palliative care, endoscopic procedures, diagnostic imaging, physiotherapy, and laboratory services. The Centre Grey Hospital relies on donations from the community to raise $500,000 each year to ensure the hospital has what it needs to function efficiently.

Darlene Lamberti, Foundation Coordinator for Centre Grey Health Services Foundation, was delighted, not only with the amount raised, but also with the strong support that the community showed to local healthcare.

“Sea and Ski have done it again! I cannot believe the success of this year’s Golf Tournament.  Even a short downpour couldn’t dampen the event!  There was a real sense of comradery and community spirit.  Supporting local healthcare is so important.  Centre Grey Health Services Foundation is very grateful to Sea and Ski and all of the sponsors, and patrons who participated in the success of this year’s event in support of the Markdale Hospital and the MRI initiative” Lamberti says.
