1. Ridge Runner
This is truly a unique experience and it’s perfect for the whole family! Cruise up to speeds of 42km/hr on this roller coaster-like ride that runs for over a full kilometer. Ridge Runner takes you on a downhill tour full of twists and turns. Ride by yourself or bring your little one with you. This track is open year-round and is appropriate for ages 3 and up.
2. Winter Caving
Got an afternoon to kill? This is the perfect experience for everybody. Snowshoe through the woods and up through the Niagara Escarpment to these beautiful winter caves. Your family will have a blast exploring these winter beauties by climbing and crawling their way through this hidden underground world.
3. Scandinave Spa
All that exploring is sure to make you exhausted. Spend a day relaxing with award-winning hydrotherapy baths or a massage. This spa offers a variety of massages suitable for every person; Hot Stone, Pregnancy, Therapeutic, and Swedish massages are all available. Take the Hot-Cold-Relax cycle in the baths to truly get a deep relaxation that helps every part of the body fully relax. Surrounded by acres of maple, birch and pine trees this is one spot to truly escape.
4. Woodview Mountain Top Skating
Take Skating to new heights – literally! This 1.1-kilometer skating trail is located on the top of Blue Mountain. It takes skaters through the woods to beautiful views overlooking Georgian Bay and the Niagara Escarpment. Lace-up the skates and get your two-hour pass to this truly distinctive attraction.
5. Sleigh Rides
Looking for something a little less intense where you can still enjoy the great outdoors? Enjoy a relaxing sleigh ride through Valley Ridge Farms all the way up to the top of the mountain. Take an hour to see these spectacular views while huddling under blankets with a warm drink.
6. Ski/ Snowboard Blue Mountain
Come out and ride one of Blue Mountain’s 43 groomed trails this winter while looking out on Georgian Bay’s beautiful views from the top. Whether you’re a beginner riding the bunny hill or a pro in the terrain park, we can guarantee you will have a good time.
7. Plunge! Aquatic Center
Located at the base of Blue Mountain ski resort is Plunge! Aquatic Center. This four-season water adventure park is the perfect all-ages. Plunge! is inspired by the tradition of cottage-style boathouses and includes both indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, rope swings, slides, and comfortable Muskoka dock chairs. Equipped with a swim store in case something gets forgotten!
8. Hummer Snowshoe Tour
Thinking of trying something a little offbeat? Check out the snowshoe tours offered by Xtreme Adventures. Start your tour by being picked up Army style in an H1 Hummer. You’ll trek the Bruce trail up to the top of the mountain where you’ll catch views of Wasaga Beach, Collingwood & the Georgian Bay. Warm-up with local hot apple cider to boot!
9. Hike N Tube
Enjoy a ride down the mountain with the kiddos on one of Canada’s oldest past times – snow tubing! Responding to a large demand in more family fun activities Blue Mountain has opened a tubing run. This experience is for people who want a downhill experience but aren’t the best at Skiing or snowboarding. There are four tacks spread out over two courses and is suitable for children aged three and older.
10. Explore Blue Mountain Village
There is always something exciting happening in the village. Whether you are taking a ride on Blue Mountain’s slopes or strolling through the village, checking out the shops and restaurants, there is something for everyone. This winter season try maple taffy, ride in a horse-drawn carriage, stay warm by the fire in the square and take pictures of the Christmas lights throughout the village.
