WAYS TO CELEBRATE EASTER AT HOME
1. Backyard (or Indoor) Egg Hunt
Hide chocolate eggs or small treats around your home or yard and create a simple map or clues for kids to follow. Add different difficulty levels to keep all ages engaged.
2. DIY Easter Egg Decorating
Boil some eggs and set up a decorating station with dyes, markers, stickers, or even natural colouring (like beets or turmeric) for a creative, hands-on activity.
3. Easter Baking Day
Spend time together baking festive treats like cupcakes, sugar cookies, or a classic carrot cake. Let kids decorate with pastel icing and sprinkles.
4. Bunny-Themed Craft Station
Use paper, cotton balls, and glue to create Easter bunnies, chicks, or spring scenes. Simple crafts make for great keepsakes or decorations around the house.
5. Easter Movie & Treat Night
Wind down with a cozy movie night featuring family-friendly films. Pair it with popcorn, mini eggs, and homemade snacks for a relaxed celebration.
6. Spring Scavenger Hunt
Create a list of spring-themed items to find—like flowers, birds, or something yellow. This can be done indoors or outdoors and adds a fun, active twist.
7. Build Your Own Easter Basket
Let kids assemble their own baskets using small toys, treats, and crafts. It adds a personal touch and gets them involved in the excitement.
8. Easter Brunch at Home
Prepare a simple but festive brunch with pancakes, fresh fruit, eggs, and pastries. Set the table with spring décor to make it feel extra special.
9. Garden Planting Activity
Welcome the season by planting flowers or starting a small herb garden together. It’s a meaningful way to celebrate spring and watch something grow.
10. Easter-Themed Game Time
Play classic games with a twist—like “Pin the Tail on the Bunny” or an egg-and-spoon race. Easy to set up and guaranteed to bring lots of laughs.
