After a busy holiday season and big leap into the New Year, we hope everyone can settle down and get back into the swing of things! That being said, with some fresh snow in most parts of the area there is still lots of opportunity for winter fun!

Looking back, home sales in Grey and Bruce for the month of December were up 4.9% from December of 2018 with 129 units sold. On a year-to-year basis, home sales totaled 2,791 units over the course of 2019, down just 0.8% from the same period in 2018. There were 128 new listings in Grey Bruce this past month, which is up 4.1% from December of 2018.

Overall supply remains near record lows, with the total number of Active residential listings at just 637 units at the end of December which is an increase of 10.4% from the end of December 2018 but still well below average for this time of year.

At the end of December, the months of inventory numbered 4.9, which is up slightly from the 4.7 months recorded at the end of December 2018 but only half the 10-year average of 9.8 months for this time of year. The number of months of inventory is the number of months it would take to sell current inventories at the current rate of sales activity.
