Grey County Market Stats

Looking back, home sales in Grey County totaled 203 units in June, which is a 83% increase from May 2020, down 56% from the same period in 2019.

When looking at the average home sale price, it is up about 41% compared to June of last year, but has stayed around the same as last month.

There were 254 new listings in Grey County in June, which is an increase of 22% from last month, and is a 4% decrease on a year-over-year basis.

The number of days on market has gone back up from its previous decline. Sitting at 39 days last month to 68 days as recorded in May, which is a 74% increase in days on market.

Our Local Communities Market Stats

Grey Highlands

In the Municipality of Grey Highlands there has been a 6% increase in both the number of properties listed since last month and when compared to June of 2019. Property sales have increased 29% from last month and have increased 37.5% from the same time last year, with the bulk of the sales being in the 6-7 hundred thousand range.

West Grey

The number of new listings in the Municipality of West Grey is up with a 43.75% increase from last month, and has decreased 32% from June 2019. The number of properties that sold increased from 17 in May to 23 in June, while an 8% decrease was noted compared to the same period last year.  The bulk of the sales were in the 5-6 hundred thousand range.


While the Municipality of Chatsworth saw a 37.5% increase in the number of new listings from last month, it is down 45% compared to June of last year. The number of properties sold varied slightly with an 18% decrease from last month but saw no change when compared to June 2019, with the highest number of sales in the 2-3, and the 7-8 hundred thousand dollar range.


In the Municipality of Meaford, there was a 57% increase in the number of new listings compared to last month and an 8% decrease from June 2019. The number of sales is unchanged compared to the same month last year, but are up from only 12 last month, with a majority of the sales being in the 2-4 hundred thousand dollar range and the 8 hundred to just under 1 million range. 

The Blue Mountains

When looking at the Municipality of the Town of the Blue Mountains, there has been an increase of 35% in the number of new listings compared to May and a 14% decrease from June of 2019. The number of sales is up with a 156% increase from May and saw a 141% increase compared to the same month last year, with the highest number of sales being in the 1 million plus range.
