Grey County Market Stats
When looking at the average home sale price, it is up about 35% compared to May of last year, which is about a 150 thousand difference.
There were 208 new listings in Grey County in May, which is an increase of 81% from last month, and is a 33.8% decrease on a year-over-year basis.
The number of days on market has gone back up from its previous decline. Sitting at 39 days last month to 68 days as recorded in May, which is a 74% increase in days on market.
Our Local Communities Market Stats
In the Municipality of Grey Highlands there has been a 128.5% increase in the number of properties listed since last month but a 55% decrease when compared to May of 2019. Property sales have increased 183% from last month and have increased 6% from the same time last year, with the bulk of the sales being in the 3-4 hundred thousand range.
The number of new listings in the Municipality of West Grey is up with a 45% increase from last month, and has decreased 43% from May 2019. The number of properties that sold is up with a whopping 466.6% increase compared to last month and saw an increase of 54% compared to the same period last year with sales in the 5-7 hundred thousand range.
While the Municipality of Chatsworth saw a 33% increase in the number of new listings from last month, it is down 63% compared to May of last year. The number of properties sold is up with a 10% increase from last month and saw an 8% decrease compared to May 2019, with the highest number of sales in the 3-4, 4-5, and 8-999,999 thousand ranges.
In the Municipality of Meaford, there was a 5% increase in the number of new listings compared to last month and a decrease of 53% from May 2019. The number of sales is up 500% from last month and is down 40% compared to the same period last year, with the most sales in the 1 million plus range but majority of the sales in the 3-4, and 6-8 hundred thousand ranges.
The Blue Mountains
When looking at the Municipality of the Town of the Blue Mountains, there has been an increase of 108.7% in the number of new listings compared to April and a 40% decrease from May of 2019. The number of sales is up with a 166% increase from April and saw an 56.7% decrease compared to the same month last year, with the highest number of sales being in the 5-7 hundred thousand range.
